WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) sent a letter to every United States governor requesting that each state require local police lockups to have feminine-hygiene products on hand for female detainees if such a policy is not already in place. This request is similar to the letter she sent former Attorney General Loretta Lynch in July 2016 requesting that federal prisons provide these products to female inmates, a policy that the U.S.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) released the following statement after this morning's bus crash in Flushing involving an MTA bus and a Dahlia Travel and Tours charter bus that has thus far resulted in three deaths.
"I am devastated by the crash this morning that has resulted in three deaths and injuries to at least sixteen people. I have been in touch with the National Transportation Safety Board, and I thank the NTSB for swiftly announcing an investigation into this terrible incident.
