QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) today issued the following statement on the vandalism of headstones at Cypress Hills Cemetery which included anti-Asian graffiti.
"I am disgusted and horrified by the anti-Asian vandalism that took place early yesterday morning at Cypress Hills Cemetery, which is located partly in my district in Glendale, Queens. Headstones were knocked over, burial vaults were attacked, and anti-Asian graffiti was smeared over the desecrated graves.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), a first-term member of the House Appropriations Committee, voted against the "minibus," a package of four appropriations bills that included Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies; Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies; Defense; and Legislative Branch Appropriations bills.
"H.R. 3219, the so-called ‘security minibus,' far from keeping us secure, abandons our morals and priorities," said Meng.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), member of the House Committee on Appropriations, announced today that two of her provisions to promote the safety and accessibility of menstrual hygiene products were included in key appropriations legislation.
The first provision, included in the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill report, encourages the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to issue appropriate guidance on the use of colorants in menstrual hygiene cosmetic products.
