Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she has cosponsored a bipartisan resolution (H.Res.707) that seeks to recognize the growth and transformation of South Korea, and its significant contributions to the international community.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) today hailed plans to install elevators at the Murray Hill Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station in Flushing.
Under the initiative, the LIRR will install two new elevators to make the station compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The elevators, which will cost $8.6 million, will connect riders from the street level to the platforms below. One elevator will be located at the westbound entrance and the other will be situated on the eastbound side.

"I am glad that Walmart did the right thing and pulled a third-party seller's Kids ‘China Boy' Costume from its website after I contacted the company to express my disappointment about it.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) today sent a letter to the United States Postal Service (USPS) urging it to replace all postal collection boxes in Queens with new anti-theft boxes in order to combat mail fishing, a growing mail theft crime throughout the borough in which thieves "fish" mail out of blue collection boxes.
Usually acting late at night, these criminals place string connected to a sticky material into collection boxes.

QUEENS, NY – In an effort to stand with the people of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and highlight the need for additional hurricane recovery funding, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) will bring a displaced resident of Puerto Rico – who is presently living in Queens – as her guest to the State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
Meng will bring Omar Miguel Nieves Delgado, 33, who was living in San Juan when Hurricane Maria struck and severely damaged his home.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that the New York City Board of Elections (BOE) has agreed to her request to restore the polling site at the Latimer Gardens housing complex in Flushing, Queens.
Since the polling place was closed in 2012, tenants of the complex and those who reside in the surrounding area, have been forced to trek a half a mile away to P.S. 214, an ordeal that has made it difficult for these individuals to vote.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens), joined by Reps. Joseph Crowley (D-Queens) and Gregory Meeks (D-Queens), this afternoon sent a letter to the head of the United States Postal Service calling for a plan to address ongoing and serious mail delivery problems in Queens.
In their correspondence to Postmaster General Megan Brennan, the lawmakers wrote that constituents have complained about severely delayed mail (sometimes taking weeks to arrive), significant problems with package delivery and frequently receiving incorrect mail.
