QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she cosponsored legislation which seeks to help those in nursing homes electronically connect with family members and doctors during the coronavirus crisis.
The bipartisan "Advancing Connectivity during the Coronavirus to Ensure Support for Seniors (ACCESS) Act" would protect these vulnerable populations from risking exposure to COVID-19 by increasing their access to remote health care, and their ability to connect with loved ones and caregivers online.

QUEENS, NY – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced the awarding of $50.7 million in federal funding for health-related providers located in her congressional district in Queens. The funds, which are allocated under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, will help 1,485 local providers in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act was the third coronavirus relief bill that was passed by Congress and enacted into law.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she urged banks to assist small businesses with applying for coronavirus relief funds under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
In a letter to the five largest banks participating in the program, Meng and other New York Members of Congress called for designated bank staff to be available at branches to help small business owners with submitting their applications in order to speed-up and streamline the process.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Reps. Grace Meng (D-Queens) and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens/Bronx) led members of the New York congressional delegation in calling on House and Senate leadership to include rent and mortgage forgiveness in the next COVID-19 relief package. As representatives of the hardest hit region in the country, the lawmakers also called for the creation of a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) fund that would reimburse landlords for the cost of cancelling rent for the duration of the crisis, and for an additional six months after the pandemic ends.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that the United States Postal Service has renewed its lease for the post office in Kew Gardens, Queens.
The Postal Service informed Meng's office that the new lease will be for five years from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2026.
The current lease expires on July 31, 2021.
