WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, today issued the following statement on the Omnibus Appropriations bill that was unveiled today.

"After last week's short-term Continuing Resolution, I'm pleased Congress has reached a bipartisan agreement on a government spending bill, which includes my requested increase of $300,000 for the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.

"The first 100 days of a new presidency is usually filled with a flurry of legislative activity and accomplishments. Even though nothing about Donald Trump's presidency has been typical, I have still been vastly disappointed by his performance.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D, NY-6) and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) introduced a bipartisan resolution in the House of Representatives this week, to recognize Israeli-American heritage and the contributions of the Israeli-American community. Introduction of this resolution is in anticipation of Jewish American Heritage Month, which is celebrated each May, and Israeli Independence Day, which will be celebrated on May 2nd this year. WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representatives Grace Meng (D-NY) and Peter J. Roskam (R-IL) called on a key House Committee to continue funding for U.S.-Israel defense cooperation programs.
