"After last week's short-term Continuing Resolution, I'm pleased Congress has reached a bipartisan agreement on a government spending bill, which includes my requested increase of $300,000 for the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D, NY-6) and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R, NY-1) introduced a bipartisan resolution in the House of Representatives this week, to recognize Israeli-American heritage and the contributions of the Israeli-American community. Introduction of this resolution is in anticipation of Jewish American Heritage Month, which is celebrated each May, and Israeli Independence Day, which will be celebrated on May 2nd this year.
