QUEENS, NY – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations – which has oversight over the U.S. State Department – spoke with South Korea's Ambassador to the United States Soo-Hyuck Lee.

The two spoke by phone this morning about key issues of mutual interest including the ROK-US alliance and the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that early voting for this year's primary elections in Queens – and throughout New York – will begin this Saturday, June 13.
In Queens, early voting will take place at 18 locations throughout the borough, and run through Sunday, June 21.
Voters can find their early voting site by entering their street address on nyc.pollsitelocator.com.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) announced today that she sent a letter to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Stephen Hahn urging him to reverse his agency's decisionthat permits companies to make minor ingredient changes without having to revise the corresponding food label because of COVID-19. The FDA announced the decision on May 22.

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that the City of New York will open a new community COVID-19 testing site this Saturday (June 6th) at Leavitt Field in Flushing.
The site, which officials are planning to set-up under a tent in the field's parking lot, will be a walk-in location. It will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) announced today that she voted to pass a bipartisan bill aiming to deliver further relief to Queens small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act (H.R. 7010) would increase flexibility and access to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), an initiative created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act that provides loans to struggling small businesses.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – To commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day and National Period Poverty Awareness Week, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) today introduced two pieces of legislation in the House of Representatives that seek to advance the fight for menstrual equity, particularly during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Meng introduced the Good Samaritan Menstrual Products Act which would allow for more menstrual products to be donated to and distributed by nonprofit organizations.

Grace Meng (D-NY) and Susan Brooks (R-IN), led 48 Members of Congress in a letter to Acting U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator John Barsa calling on him to ensure that the agency's international work continues to focus on the health and safety of women and girls during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Congresswoman teamed up with Community Board 4 to hand out 1000 face masks in front of Elmhurst's St. James Episcopal Church at 84-07 Broadway.
