WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) announced today that she has cosponsored the SNAP COVID-19 Anti-Hunger Restaurant Relief for You Act (H.R. 6688), which would expand the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - Restaurant Meals Program (SNAP RMP) to help those experiencing food insecurity during the coronavirus crisis access low-cost meals at restaurants.
SNAP RMP allows individuals who are homeless, elderly, or disabled to use their SNAP benefits to purchase prepared meals at participating restaurants.

Grace Meng (D-NY) announced today that she helped pass the NO BAN Act which seeks to repeal President Trump's travel bans that target individuals from several predominantly Muslim countries. The legislation, which Meng cosponsored, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 233-183.
"Since President Trump first announced his Muslim travel ban, I have led efforts to defund it, and I was proud to support and help pass the NO BAN Act as well," said Congresswoman Meng.

The ‘‘No Funds for Apportionment Exclusion Act' would prohibit the use of federal funds to implement, administer, or enforce the President's plan. The bill has 48 cosponsors.
