Meng and Lesko Introduce Bipartisan Legislation Requiring Ingredient Labeling for Menstrual Products

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Reps. Grace Meng (D-NY) and Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) announced today that they introduced the Menstrual Products Right to Know Act of 2022 (H.R. 8829). The bipartisan bill would require that manufacturers of menstrual products disclose on the label of their packaging, the ingredients in them, so that consumers have all the information necessary to make the best choice for their menstrual health and well-being.

"I was disgusted to learn of the awful incident outside the gates of Queens College this week where a stranger, unaffiliated with Queens College, was yelling anti-Semitic and repulsive racist messages over a megaphone. This kind of language and ideology has no place in Queens nor in the rest of our diverse nation. I want to thank the NYPD for moving quickly to remove that person.

QUEENS, NY – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) visited the homes of the Hurricane Ida victims in Queens, commemorating the 1-year anniversary of the storm making landfall in New York City. Stopping at the home of the Lama family in Woodside, Yue Lian Chen in Elmhurst, Darlene Hsu in Forest Hills and the home of Hong Sheng Leng in Flushing.
The congresswoman attended a press conference hosted by Governor Hochul where she highlighted some of the efforts she has led in the last year, to further protect constituents from similar extreme weather events in the future.

Grace Meng's (D-NY) legislation to provide health care benefits for "Atomic Veterans" who were exposed to harmful radiation when they cleaned up nuclear testing sites during the late 1970s.
