QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that the new Small Business Development Center (SBDC) that she helped to open at Queens College will now be providing services in Korean.
The facility, which Meng helped to launch in May after she secured funding to establish the Center, works to help small businesses grow and thrive by providing entrepreneurs with a wide array of counseling, training and research services – all free of charge.

Grace Meng (D-NY), a founder and Co-Chair of the Congressional Kids' Safety Caucus, announced the introduction of the Total Recall Act, a bill that would require businesses to strengthen and streamline the way they notify consumers about product recalls. Currently, the average response rate of consumers for most recalls is only between 4 and 18 percent.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), announced the introduction of the Closing the Homework Gap Through Mobile Hotspots Act, which would create a $100 million grant program for schools, libraries, U.S. territories, and federally recognized Indian Tribes to purchase mobile hotspots to help close the nation's homework gap. They would use the funds to create mobile hotspot programs for students to have internet access to complete their homework.

Grace Meng (D-NY), a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Co-Chair of the Hellenic Caucus, announced today that they have introduced legislation which would prohibit the Department of Defense from using funds to deploy strategic assets in Turkey after 2020. The legislation comes in response to the deterioration of U.S.-Turkey relations, and on the heels of President Erdogan's problematic White House visit last week.
