Meng Welcomes Vice President Harris to Queens

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) yesterday welcomed Vice President Kamala Harris to Queens.

The Congresswoman greeted Harris on the tarmac after she landed at LaGuardia Airport. The Vice President arrived in the borough aboard Air Force Two, and later traveled to Manhattan to deliver a speech focusing on gun safety, attacks on democracy, abortion rights and voting rights.

 “It is always an honor to meet and speak with Vice President Harris and I thank her for inviting me to her arrival in Queens,” said Meng. “I look forward to continuing to work with her and I commend the Vice President for keeping a light shined on the many crucial issues that she addressed while in New York.”
