Meng to once again bring congress to Queens

April 22, 2013
U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she will once again bring Congress to Queens.
Meng will hold her second “Congress on Your Corner” event at the Fresh Meadows Library on Monday, April 29 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will once again afford constituents the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their new Congresswoman. Local residents can discuss whatever is on their mind or they can just stop-by to say hi. All who live in Meng’s Sixth Congressional District are welcome and no appointment is necessary.
The event follows Meng’s first “Congress on Your Corner” last month which took place at the Middle Village Library.
“I am excited to hold my second ‘Congress on Your Corner’ event so that I can continue to meet with constituents in their own neighborhood about any problems, concerns or issues that they want to discuss,” said Meng. “I encourage all local residents to attend, and I look forward to seeing them.”
The Fresh Meadows Library is located at 193-20 Horace Harding Expressway. Free parking is available in the lot located next to the facility.
The Sixth Congressional District of New York encompasses west, central and northeast Queens including Fresh Meadows.
The Congresswoman continues to plan additional “Congress on Your Corners” throughout other parts of the borough in the near future.
