Meng to bring Congress to Queens

March 15, 2013
U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) announced today that she will bring Congress to Queens by holding her first “Congress on Your Corner” event at the Middle Village Library on Wednesday, March 27 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will afford local residents the opportunity to meet one-on-one with their new Congresswoman.
Constituents can have Meng address their problems, discuss their concerns and listen to their views. Or they can simply stop-by to say hi and shake her hand. All are invited and no appointment is necessary.
“It is critical for Members of Congress to ensure that they are accessible to their constituents, and meeting with the people I am privileged to represent is a top priority of mine,” said Meng. “I look forward to seeing many of them on March 27, and I encourage all who live in the area to attend.”
The Middle Village Library is located at 72-31 Metropolitan Avenue.
Congresswoman Meng represents the Sixth Congressional District of New York which encompasses west, central and northeast Queens including Middle Village.
She plans to host additional “Congress on Your Corner” events throughout other parts of the borough in the near future.
