Meng Issues Statement on the Passing of Paul Vallone

QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) today issued the following statement on the passing of former Queens Councilman Paul Vallone, who had been serving as a Deputy Commissioner at the New York City Department of Veterans' Services.

“I’m devastated over the death of Paul Vallone. He was a terrific friend and public servant. But he was also a wonderful person and a great human being. I will always treasure our friendship and working together to improve the lives of Queens residents.

Paul was also a great family man. His family was big, and he always made us feel like we were part of it.

I send my deepest condolences to all his loved ones at this difficult time. His accomplishments and contributions on behalf of our borough and city will never be forgotten.”
