Meng Issues Statement on Death of Jack Friedman
April 9, 2015
U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens), a member of the House Small Business Committee, today issued the following statement on the death of Jack Friedman, Executive Director of the Queens Chamber of Commerce.
"Queens has lost a great advocate for the borough's business community. Jack Friedman did so much to assist local business owners, and he worked tirelessly to help strengthen the Queens economy. His experience and resourcefulness helped countless entrepreneurs get on their feet and grow their businesses.
I was fortunate to partner with Jack and the Chamber on numerous occasions to promote area small businesses, and each and every time, his expertise, knowledge and enthusiasm made the project we were working on such a great success. We worked together to organize seminars and workshops for Queens small business owners and highlighted the success of Queens companies on the national stage.
Jack's passing is a terrible loss for Queens and he will be enormously missed. I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time."
