Meng Forum on President Obama's Executive Action Forced to be Canceled

Due to a federal judge in Texas temporarily blocking President Obama's executive action on immigration, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has been forced to cancel the forum it was scheduled to host with U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) this Monday, February 23 in Elmhurst, Queens.
According to USCIS, its activities in support of expanded DACA and DAPA have ceased in accordance with the Court's order. Therefore, USCIS will not be able to participate at the event.
The forum is with USCIS is expected to be rescheduled if the ruling is overturned on appeal, which Congresswoman Meng expects to happen.
The ruling to halt the President's program was handed down this week. The Justice Department is appealing.
