Meng Commends Pop-Up COVID-19 Vaccination Site at Queens College

April 8, 2021

QUEENS, NY – Today, U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) expressed her appreciation for the opening of a New York State pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site at Queens College, which is located in her congressional district in Flushing.

The site will operate this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments are required and can be made through: https://www.somosvaccinations.com.

"I'm extremely pleased that Queens College has been selected as a pop-up site, particularly after I had discussed the location with officials," said Meng. "I thank our partners in New York State government, the college, and our local partners for making this happen. We're one step closer to getting all our neighbors vaccinated, and I continue my call for more vaccination sites, particularly permanent sites, to be established in my congressional district so that the vaccine is easily accessible to all of my constituents."

Late last month, a permanent vaccination site opened at Korean Community Services (KCS) in Northeast Queens, in Bayside, after Meng called for more vaccine locations in her district.
