Meng and Hochul Visit with Impacted Residents in Flushing

September 7, 2021
QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) this evening welcomed New York Governor Kathy Hochul to her congressional district in Flushing to talk with constituents who have suffered devastating losses from last week's rainfall and flooding.
Meng and Hochul, who were joined by other local elected officials, spoke with local residents, provided them with hot food and made information available to help with their insurance claims.
"I thank Governor Hochul for visiting Flushing and for the great leadership she has provided since the storm occurred," said Meng. "I also thank the Governor for her attention to Queens during this difficult and challenging time, and I will continue working with her to help local residents recover from the devastation that they have been forced to endure."
The visit took place this evening in the area of 56th Avenue and Kissena Boulevard.
