Meng and Crowley to Hold Town Hall Meeting on Bangladesh

U.S. Reps. Grace Meng (D-Queens) and Joseph Crowley (D-Queens/Bronx) announced today that they will hold a town hall meeting on Bangladesh with United States Ambassador to Bangladesh DanMozena on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Newtown High School in Elmhurst, New York.
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Queens school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The town hall will feature a discussion on United States foreign policy towards Bangladesh and the U.S.-Bangladesh relationship. There will also be remarks delivered by Meng and Ambassador Mozena. A question and answer session will follow where attendees can ask about any issues related to Bangladesh.
The event is open free of charge to the public and press.
“These are challenging times for our friend and ally Bangladesh, and I look forward to an open and productive discussion on the many issues affecting the country including U.S.-Bangladesh relations,” said Meng. “I encourage all members of the Bangladesh community – as well as the general public – to attend what will be a very informative evening.”
The event will begin at 6:30pm sharp. A representative for Congressman Crowley will be in attendance.
Meng is a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the panel that oversees U.S. policy towards all countries around the world including Bangladesh.
