June 2, 2017
QUEENS, NY – U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) visited Engine Company 286/Ladder Company 135 in Glendale, Queens to present members of the firehouse with a Congressional Record that honors the life, service and bravery of FDNY Firefighter William Tolley.
Tolley, who was a member of Ladder Company 135, died in the line of duty in April while battling a blaze in Ridgewood.
Meng placed the tribute to Tolley in the Congressional Record last month and presented an official framed copy at the firehouse this week. The Congressional Record is the official record of the proceedings of the United States Congress.
